Why I love my Dad more sometimes....

Dogfriends and Girl Girl, a while ago I told you about how my Mom went away and my Dad took care of me for two weeks. I told you that Dad did things different, and had different rules and stuff. Well, I want to show you one of the things Dad does BETTER than Mom.
Mom stays home with me a lot lately. Usually she feeds me before Dad comes home from work. But if I am lucky, Dad feeds me when he gets home. I like it when Dad feeds me .... I'll show you why.
This is how much food Mom feeds me......
This is how much food Dad feeds me ......
He also give me more cookies.
I had some excitement tonight. The other day my Mom mowed the yard and she found a piece of a SQUIRREL'S TAIL!!! It was just a few hairs but she picked it up gingerly with a piece of paper and put it in the garage so I could smell it and she could blog about it. She tried to let me smell it yesterday but I didn't want to smell it at all, just gobble it down. She could not take a picture. She put in down in the garage so she could take a picture of it later.
Well, today, Dad let me go with him in the garage with the garage door open! (He trusts me.) Well, I went out with him but I ran back inside like a flash and ran under the dining room table. Mom saw me running and knew I was up to something. She looked and saw that I had the squirrel tail fur in my mouth and was trying to eat it! SHE TOOK IT AWAY FROM ME! I am so mad at her and she is so disgusted that she had to touch the squirrel tail with her hand. It serves her right for taking it away from me!
So, that is why I sometimes love my Dad more.

Hey Copper,
I don't get it. What's wrong with touching the tail? Was it nice?
I like your Dad's portion of ONE cup. hehe... Is Hershey coming to visit soon???

Yep, Dad's do tend to be more laid back .. it's the Mom's who are so fussy about things. I like your Dad's portions better too! Plus I bet he would have let you keep the squirrel tail. Mine would have!

Oh yeah - in my 'former' life I lived with my human sister - she's the one who called me Zorro - but I was only Zorro for five months - then I came to live with my Mom and changed my name to Zach.

My dad does the same thing! Mom tells him how much to feed me and he rewards me with extra! Isn't that just the best!

Love ya lots,
Maggie

J2 is also more liberal with the treats! I always get more when he feeds me. I think he just feels sorry for me when I stare at him and drool on his leg! J x

Wow- a squirrel tail! Very kewl! Too bad your mom caught you with it. I guess I am lucky that I get all the food I want- I am skinny and not a good eater. But Emmy gains weight easy and will eat absolute anything, so her food is measured and she only gets a little bit- poor girl.
Big Wags,
Isabella
PS- have you seen any squirrels in your yard without their tail?

My mom found a squirrel tail one time... well, it's not a nice story... maybe she will let me tell it sometime. And another person who doles out BIG handfuls of kibble and treats are my grandparents! That's another story too..... Oh dear, so much to blog about!
