The baby raccoon (about 5 weeks) was orphaned and she was taking him to someone who would babysit him till he grew bigger and could go live in the woods again. He smelled so cool! Hershey and I barked and barked at him. Here are some more pictures of him and even a VIDEO!!! Yeah, my first video! Hershey's Mom showed me how to post a video.
Hershey is still here. We both got our feet trimmed tonight. It was AWFUL!!! Hershey HATES it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He got lots and lots of treats to try to bribe him to be good but he hates it. He has more hair on his feet them I do and whenever he comes to visit my Mom trims his feet. We both look very handsome right now and I would show you a picture but we are too tired from barking to take a picture.
I barked and barked at Nixon tonight because he went in my Mom's closet. I decided that he is not supposed to go in there so I barked at him and told him to get out. It didn't work and Mom made me stop. Shucks.

Hey Copper,
That baby racoon is so cute looking. Are you sure you can't keep it as your own?
My furry feet are getting messy too and Mom has been talking about getting it trimmed (which i don't really dig). I can't quite see your video!! :(
PS : How long more will Hershey be here??
Woh the baby raccoon sure looks cute. You have such cool neighbour

Mom and dad had one of those YEARS ago. His name was Sammy. They didn't keep him long though because he started to bite mom too hard and she got nervous. They are adorable babies!
Love ya lots,
Maggie

Wow, your neighbor does rock!
How very cute.
Wowie Zowie, a live baby raccoon!! When you barked and sniffed at it, did it get scared? I can't see your video right now... YouTube doesn't seem to be working... but I will definitely check back later to watch your raccoon video! How exciting... I'm just glad it wasn't a baby skunk...that would smell bad.
Isn't it bad for humans to care for baby raccoons because then when the raccoon becomes an adult, they won't be afraid of humans, and then can harm them when they get aggressive for food?
My grandma thinks she has a raccoon problem under her house in the crawl space. Yesterday night she put some white flour at the entrance of the crawl space and put bricks there. (the other day she put bricks there and the bricks were moved!!) If there are paws steps in the flour this morning, then there might be something for sure living under her house!!
Hi, Copper.
That raccoon baby is so cute. You were so lucky to have him close.
I can't see the video, I hope I will later.
Have fun you and Hershey

Woo Woo! What an interesting looking toy that your neighbor brought home. That is super cool you got to meet a raccoon. I have never met one of those.
I will check back to see your video. It isn't working for me either :(

Wow that little raccoon is super cute!! Mom is scared of them when they get bigger. She's afraid one is gonna wonder in our yard & I'll try to catch it for dinner.
Don't touch my feet either!!!

What a cool new toy!!! It looks like the best toy ever! Oh, you don't get to play with it? What a bummer. It's very cute but not quite as cute as dachsies.
