Would a cat save you in a snowstorm?

I am a dog .... a dog that surfs the internet. At the risk of starting a war, I would like to share this with all of my dogfriends out there as reason #1 that dogs are better than cats.

(Now, I want to know why anyone or anydog would want to go hiking on Mt Hood in the winter?)

Dogfriends, do any of you have any other reasons (silly or otherwise) why you think dogs are better than cats?

My mom says I am a good heater when I sleep with her at night. So those hikers are lucky they had a dog and not a cat. Oh and my mom who was born and raised in Oregon says People need to smarten up and not climb Mt. Hood in the winter. It is nice in the summer (but can still be dangerous then). At least those people had a radio transmitter

Heck, not only are dogs smarter and better than cats, they are smarter than humans! Any dog would have sense enough not to go hiking on a mountain in the winter. Geesh! I hope that dog's humans have learned their lesson or at least be kind enough to leave the dog home in a nice warm house with a comfy couch to lay on, if they decide to go hiking on a mountain again in the dead of winter.Dumb, dumb, dumb humans.

I betcha that dog tried to convince his people not to go up that moutain when they left the house that morning. But, since his people didn't listen to him, he went with them, knowing they would need his support.

Dogs are better than cats because
1) Cats can't bark when someone has penetrated the home perimeter
2) Cats don't wag their tails
3) Cats are completely illogical
4) One cat in particular (named Fox) is crazy and thus worse than dogs on all counts
5) Cats don't enjoy rawhide or play fetch
6) Cats don't like to be trained to do many tricks

that really only skims the top of the iceberg. But a cat would definitely not have tried to save their people on Mt. Hood (on the other hand, cats would probably have just blinked in disgust if the people tried to get them to go)

Good catch on the story, Copper. It's important for us to remind ourselves regularly why we are better than cats in every way.

Copper, before you call Dr. Cindy, take a look at my blog again. I wrote down the detailed breakdown of the costs so you can compare with Dr. Cindy.

I have a feeling California just costs more. It always does, just like gasoline. California is stupid. Just like my parents. Why don't they move to Augusta so I can see Dr. Cindy? I wish I had a nice Dr. Cindy.

Dogs don't jump into the freezer. Our curious cat friend Fox did that this morning.

Dogs are happy to clean up the floor when people spill.
